Promoting health

Our pre- and post-natal clinics have set up schools for parents, which are run in association with regional educational services as the Haus der Familie family education programmes. Synergies have been achieved, resulting in attractive packages for parents and participating educational establishments in Münster, Telgte, Ahlen, Hamm and Kamp-Lintfort. The same process applies to the heath centres in our hospitals, which offer services in the areas of prevention, rehabilitation and health promotion. Their message is extended to the public and the workforce through a wide programme of courses, in, for instance, Hamm, Kamp-Lintfort, Meerbusch-Lank and Uerdingen. In line with our other services, we also work intensively with self-help groups, partly by hosting events on our premises, which deal with, for instance, diabetes, breast cancer,rheumatology , and which then provide the stimulus for support groups or friendly get-togethers.
